Jessie Scott Wood

Jessie Scott Wood received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Detroit College of Law in 1992. She received the Charles H. King award for the student achieving the highest record of scholastic proficiency. While at the Detroit College of Law, she received the best oralist award at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law Moot Court Competition. She also received the National Association of Women Lawyers Outstanding Law Graduate from the Detroit College of Law for the year 1992-1993.

Jessie Scott WoodFollowing graduation, Jessie returned to practice law with her Father. Jessie’s emphasis of practice is in Family Law. Jessie is a past president of the Bay County Bar Association. She was named as “Favorite Divorce Lawyer” by Great Lakes Bay Magazine (May 2010).

Jessie is currently a member of the State Bar of Michigan, Family Law Section, General Practice Section, Probate Law Section, and a member of the Bay County Bar Association. Jessie has also completed the Michigan Institute of Continuing Legal Education Family Law Certificate. She is also a Member of the Judicial Qualifications Committee of the State Bar of Michigan.

After work Jessie is active with the Bay City Players and Bangor John Glenn theatre, and enjoys traveling with family and friends.
